This workshop provides a rare opportunity not only to become familiar with a vast range of lighting tools, but also to learn the effective use of those tools under working conditions. Led by a professional Director of Photography (DP), through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will learn a vast array of lighting techniques which will improve the “look” of their work.

After finishing this two-day workshop you will be able to:
- Identify four fundamental principles of lighting used by professionals.
- Select the most efficient lighting instruments for a given project
- Understand the tools and layout of the professional grip truck
- Properly use grip equipment and lighting instruments
- Select filters and gels to help provide substance and style to your work
- Light close-ups, medium shots and wide- angle shots.
- Light interiors both night and day
- Light exteriors both night and day
- Use lighting meters and waveform monitor to assess the ISO of your HD camera and expose your images more creatively
- Apply safety procedures to protect yourself .
